Slow to spread,  well behaved bamboo.  This is the most sought after species for container plantings. Prune as needed to maintain bushy form.

The plant has culms very similar to Phyllostachys and leaves like a Sasa. This form has very bright variegated leaves that persist throughout the year, while not compromising the strength of the plant.
