Price: $19.99

This bamboo is one of the most sought after bamboos for wood quality. It is used by master craftsman for the making of split-cane fly rods that sell for thousands of dollars. Unfortunately this species must be grown in a warm temperate or cool tropical environment in order to thrive. It has large leaves with persistent culm sheaves. The non-prominent nodes make the culm smooth for woodwooking. The lower 1/2 to 2/3 of the culms will be branch free.
