These are cured and dried Dendrocalamus strictus poles also known as Calcutta Cane Pole. These poles are prized for their strength, thick walled tough wood that is resistant to splitting. They are used to make high end bamboo furniture and decorative items. These are some of the best type of poles to use as outdoor furniture. These poles are 30' long and apx. 2 1/2" (can vary by +or - 1/2") at the base.They are generally not straight, but have slight curves and the nodes wider than the internodes. Full length poles can be picked up at our Garden Center Location or shipped freight in bulk (call for pricing). Poles ordered through the web site are cut into 3 pieces slightly less than 8' in length to meet UPS 8' shipping length limit. |
