This is a mutation of B. malingensis that has some silver stripping on the lower nodes. We discovered this bamboo a few years back and the variegation appears to be stable after several generations. The stripping appears to become more noticable as it increases in size. It is notable because B. malingensis has never to have been known to mutate and is thought to be a very stable plant. Basically a collectors plant. |
